After nearly 12 months of not being able to rent out mobility equipment, I’m pleased to say that www.StriveMobility.com is back and normal service is being resumed.
At the start of the pandemic, many of our suppliers asked us to put a temporary stop to renting out mobility products. Whilst our suppliers make every effort to effectively clean all equipment before they are sent out, we decided that it was best to take a prudent approach and not re-use (ie hire out) mobility aids during the crisis. The situation was obviously not ideal but we felt that this was a necessary step to ensure the safety of our service users, the community in general and staff throughout the handling process.
Unfortunately, we had to say “no” to many of you who were looking to hire mobility products from Strive Mobility; this is not a decision that we regret as our customers and staff must always come first and we were just not willing to compromise on this.
Whilst we were still safely renting out some profiling beds and mattresses (which go through a decontamination process) and selling medical face masks online, many of you who were looking to hire wheelchairs or rent out mobility scooters from Strive Mobility, unfortunately just weren’t able to do so.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have been in regular contact with our suppliers and have now decided that – as the UK’s vaccination rate continues to improve and lockdown restrictions ease – many people will be looking to travel over the coming months and may need to rent mobility products. As a result, our online mobility store has been updated with some new equipment (whilst some products are no longer available for hire) and we will continue to increase our range of products from different suppliers when we feel that it’s safe to do so.
What is the process of renting mobility equipment through Strive Mobility?
Our home page says it all: ‘The simple way of renting mobility products online’. Users simply have to go to https://www.strivemobility.com/ and click on the ‘Mobility Category‘ page. Here you will be able to see a whole host of products (wheelchairs, mobility scooters, profile beds, hoists, etc) available to rent.
The pricing is clear and there are no additional charges, such as delivery or collection, that come up at the checkout page. Insurance is also included on many of our powered items, so again this makes life easier for our users.
What services does Strive Mobility provide?
